Trade Association Environmental Leadership Award Nomination Questions 

The nominator should address the following points:

  1. To be eligible for consideration, the trade association must have worked with a local, state/territorial, or national SBEAP.  Explain how the trade association worked with the SBEAP. (5 points)
     

  2. What activities did the trade association undertake to assist its members in going above and beyond environmental compliance regulations?  That is, what did the trade association do to help members improve environmental performance, reduce environmental impacts, provide exceptional education and training, and encourage and assist with environmental management systems (EMS)? (30 points)
     

  3. What steps did the trade association take to help other industry sector businesses with compliance, pollution prevention, or other environmental management systems (EMS)? (5 points)
     

  4. Describe how the trade association encouraged members to implement "green" changes in current practices, such as utilizing post-consumer materials when designing new products and/or services. (30 points)
     

  5. Describe how the trade association assisted or encouraged members to conduct assessments or case studies to quantify environmental and economic benefits of environmentally friendly business practices. (30 points)
