Small Business Environmental Assistance Program Award Nomination Questions 

The nominator should address the following points:

  1. What are the leadership abilities of the program or individual nominated?  Describe activities, committee involvements, and partnerships that furthered the goals of the SBEAP, as well as the nominee's position as a role model/mentor for others. (20 points) 
     

  2. Describe the involvement of the individual or program with the National Steering Committee (NSC).  Did the interaction of the individual or program help the NSC to achieve any of its current goals?  (NSC goals include:  1) improve measurements within the 507 programs, 2) provide support for states to obtain multimedia capability, 3) continue to supply input and support to EPA's new area source rules, and 4) provide support to state programs in decline or need of strengthening.) (20 points) 
     

  3. What unique activities or work products did the individual or state program develop to assist small businesses?  Did the individual or program make the activities or work products available to other programs?  Provide examples. (20 points) 
     

  4. Describe how the individual or program provided leadership in the execution of a workshop, summit, subcommittee, or other project with impacts on a national, regional, or local level. (20 points) 
     

  5. Describe how the individual or program promoted or increased awareness of the SBO/SBEAP or the NSC. (20 points)
