American Society for Quality (ASQ) -- Organization of individual and organizational members dedicated to the ongoing, development, advancement, and promotion of quality concepts, principles, and techniques.  The web site provides information on quality methods used throughout the world.

ANSI Online (American National Standards Institute) -- Provides general information and services related to the ISO 14000 environmental management standards.

Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES) -- Non-profit coalition of investors, public pension funds, foundations, labor unions, and environmental, religious and public interest groups, working in partnership with companies toward the common goal of corporate environmental responsibility worldwide.

Economic Globalization and the Environment Program -- ISO 14000 subpage of the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment, and Security web site.  Recent programs include the study of connections between current patterns of trade and investment, the international institutions that govern trade, and the effects of the expanding global economy on the environment and human societies.

Multi-State Working Group on Environmental Management Systems (MSWG) -- Web site for the MSWG, a consortium of 49 member and observer state governments, U.S. EPA, businesses and non-government organizations committed to the study of the benefits of environmental management systems in public and private organizations and of the potential for their use in government environmental policy.

National Database on Environmental Management Systems (NDEMS) -- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and the Environmental Law Institute (ELI), supported by U.S. EPA compilation of data in order to determine how the environmental and economic performance of a range of corporate, military, and municipal facilities is affected by the implementation of EMSs.

National Directory of EMS Technical Assistance Providers -- The National Directory of EMS Technical Assistance Providers (TAP Directory) provides contact information, by state, for nonprofit EMS TAPS.  The Directory is a joint resource of the EPA EMS, PEER Center, and SectorSTAR web sites, developed through a cooperative agreement with the US EPA Office of Policy, Economics, and Innovation.

Documenting Your Environmental Management Plan--A Workbook for Small Business (pdf) -- Produced under the direction of the EPA Small Business Division, this workbook is designed to go hand in hand with the Practical Guide to Environmental Management for Small Business (see below).  The Workbook gives provides a place to keep and organize all of the information compiled while improving your business' environmental management activities.

Practical Guide to Environmental Management for Small Business -- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Small Business Division guide to help small business owners design a management plan that addresses all environmental concerns while helping to save money and make the business look good.   

Voluntary Environmental Management Systems/ISO 14001 (December 2000) -- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in cooperation with NSF International, revised the 1996 guide, "Environmental Management Systems: An Implementation Guide for Small and Medium-sized Organizations," in December 2000.  This is a common sense guide for organizations interested in implementing ISO 14001.  Can be used by organizations of all sizes.
