MACT
10 Year Surface
Coating MACTs -- U.S. EPA Technology Transfer Network, Air Toxics Website
implementation information for the 10 year surface coating MACTs. 10 year
surface coating common file categories include: rule implementation
updates & website links, source identification tips, technical & plain language
help, calculations & test methods, outreach & training materials, and links to
other rules (multimedia). For regulatory and implementation updates, go to
An
Update on Implementation Efforts.
The Active National Directory of Source
Emissions Testing (ActiveSET.org) -- Stack testing reference source that
supports a state-by-state listing of air quality testing firms located in the
U.S. and Canada.
AIRData -- U.S. EPA
provides access to air pollution data for the entire U.S. Annual summaries
of air pollution data are presented from two databases: 1) Air Quality
System (AQS), which provides air monitoring data primarily in cities and towns,
and 2) National Emission Inventory (NEI), which provides estimates of annual
emissions of criteria and hazardous air pollutants from all types of sources.
Air Pollution State Regulations
Locator -- ENVCAP (Environmental Compliance Assistance Platform State by
State Information Tools web site) link to the Construction Industry Compliance
Assistance (CICA) air pollution links to regulatory agencies and rules covering
topics such as open burning/smoke and dust.
MACT
Air Toxics -- U.S. EPA
web site that include factsheets, and proposed and final air toxics rules.
Examples include: proposed residual risk standards, gas and combustion
turbine regulations, hazardous air emission reduction rules, proposed removal of
ethylene glycol monobutyl ether from the CAA list of toxic pollutants, new
emission standards for toxic air pollutants (maximum achievable control
technology standards or MACT), toxic air reduction rules (13 final rules),
proposed last air toxics standards for major sources, mobile source air toxics
final rule, Great Waters Report to Congress, MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether),
and the Mercury Study Report to Congress.
MACT
Air Toxics
Implementation Tools -- U.S. EPA air toxics implementation tools, including
inspection checklists, applicability flowcharts, brochures, summaries, etc.
MACT
Center for Industrial Services
(CIS) -- Toxic Air Pollutants for Regulators -- University of Tennessee CIS
web page providing information on U.S. EPA maximum achievable control technology
(MACT) rules. The site includes information to assist air pollution
control agencies with conducting inspections and writing permits under the MACT
rules.
Glossary of Air Pollution Terms
-- Glossary of general air pollution terms provided by the Georgia Department of
Natural Resources, Air Protection Branch, edited for use in the Small Business
Environmental Home Page.
MACT
National Emission
Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants -- U.S. EPA Technology Transfer
Network (TTN), Air Toxics Website, alphabetical list of NESHAPs (MACT).
MACT
National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants Compliance Monitoring
-- U.S. EPA stationary source standards for hazardous air pollutants.
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) are pollutants that are known or suspected to
cause cancer or other serious health effects, such as reproductive effects or
birth defects, or adverse environmental effects.
NSPS
New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and State Improvement Plans -- U.S.
EPA technology based standards that apply to specific categories of stationary
sources. NSPS apply to new, modified, and reconstructed affected
facilities in specific source categories such as manufacturers of glass, cement,
rubber tires, and wool fiberglass. There are approximately 75 NSPS.
Standards are found in 40 CFR Part 60.
NSR
New Source Review (NSR) -- U.S. EPA preconstruction permitting program that:
1) ensures that air quality is not significantly degraded from the addition of
new and modified factories, industrial boilers, and power plants; and 2) assures
people that any large new or modified industrial source in their neighborhoods
will be as clean as possible. Owners/operators must abide by NSR permits
including what construction is allowed, what emission limits must be met, and
often how the emissions source must be operated.
NSR
Region
7 Air Program Search Policy and Guidance Database -- U.S. EPA Region 7 NSR/PSD
Policy and Guidance Database and Title V Policy and Guidance Database can be
searched on line or downloaded to your computer if you make frequent searches.
Region 7 serves Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and 9 Tribal Nations.
TRI
Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program -- U.S. EPA publicly available
database that contains information on toxic chemical releases and other waste
management activities reported annually by certain covered industry groups as
well as federal facilities. The inventory was established under the
Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 (EPCRA) and expanded
by the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990.
TRI
TRI-ME RY2005 (U.S. EPA Toxics
Release Inventory - Made Easy software) -- U.S. EPA software to help
facilities determine and complete their Emergency Planning and Community
Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) section 313 (TRI) reporting obligations.
TRI-ME is an interactive, intelligent, user-friendly software that guides
facilities through the TRI reporting experience.
U.S. EPA TTN Compilation of Air
Pollution Emission Factors, AP-42, Fifth Edition, Volume I: Stationary Point and
Area Sources -- U.S. EPA TTN Clearinghouse for Inventories & Emission
Factors AP-42 publication. Chapters include: external combustion sources,
solid waste disposal, stationary internal combustion sources, evaporation loss
sources, petroleum industry, organic chemical process industry, liquid storage
tanks, inorganic chemical industry, food and agricultural industries, wood
products industry, mineral products industry, metallurgical industry,
miscellaneous sources, greenhouse gas biogenic sources, and ordnance
detonation. Draft sections under review and appendices also are included.
