Technical Subcommittee
Technical Subcommittees
The Technical Subcommittee is one of six subcommittees created by the
National Steering Committee resulting from discussions on the future of the 507
programs at the 2002 SBO/SBAP National Conference held in Chicago, Illinois.
During the 2010 Small Business Environmental Conference in Arlington, Virginia,
it was decided that the Technical Subcommittee, which had previously focused on
air issues such as the area source rules, would be split into 3 different
subcommittees--Technical-Air, Technical-Waste, and Technical-Water. The
history and resources from the original Technical Subcommittee are shown on the
Technical-Air Subcommittee page; Mission is also shown below on this page.
Following are links to all three Technical Subcommittee pages.

Overall Mission
The charge of the Technical Subcommittees is to look at technical issues and
rulemakings that are of interest and impact to small business and consequently
to the Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs. Technical issues and interests
were approached as a basic building block in the early foundation of the
National Steering Committee. Central to the Subcommittees' goals is
the desire to get involved in EPA's rulemakings, policy
decisions, and guidance development in the representation of small business
interests. There are now three subcommittees: Technical-Air,
Technical-Waste, and
Technical-Water.
