Small Business Environmental Stewardship Award Nomination Questions

The nominator should address the following points:

  1. To be eligible for consideration, the business must have worked with a local, state/territorial, or national SBEAP/SBO.  Please identify and describe the type of assistance received.  (LIMITED TO 50 WORDS)

    • permit determination

    • onsite assessment

    • compliance assistance

    • pollution prevention/sustainability

    • advocacy.  (5 points)

  2. What actions did the business take after receiving assistance from the SBEAP/SBO?  Include actions taken to come into compliance, if necessary, as well as conservation/sustainable activities that were implemented by the business to go beyond environmental compliance?  Provide description and data to support the efforts.  (LIMITED TO 500 WORDS)  (35 points)

  3.  Did the activities described above provide inspiration to others in the industry?  Did the business use their experience to mentor others in similar situations?  Describe.  (LIMITED TO 250 WORDS)  (10 points)
