Overall Mission
The overall mission of the subcommittee is to promote the activities
of and exposure to the state small business environmental assistance programs (SBEAPs) (507
programs).
Current Status
The promotional subcommittee worked aggressively to provide the SBEAPs
with the tools to present the group as a united entity and establish a "brand"
for the programs. Work conducted to date includes: national logo,
annual report summary, shell sheet/letter head pocket folder to house materials,
print ad, brochure, and a national public service announcement. A number
of these work products are linked below. The group provided an update of activities at the
2003 SBO/SBAP National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland; the presentation is
included below under Resources. The group then became dormant in the
summer of 2003 and recently was revived in late fall of 2004 to tackle the next
steps in the promotion of the SBEAP program. The subcommittee just
completed work on the redesign of the Small Business Environmental Home Page
(Home Page).
Future Plans
The committee has just completed work on the updating the design and
organization of the Home Page. The committee will continue to offer
comments and suggestions on improving particular aspects and functions of the
Home Page. Future efforts of the promotional subcommittee also include:
national advertising, trade association outreach, funding opportunities,
legislative promotions, other environmental providers, and other business
service providers.
